…that doesn’t feel trite in the face of the latest atrocity committed by ICE, but one thing that has struck me extra hard this time around is how absolutely maddening and terrifying it is to see something with your own eyes from multiple angles, to read witness testimony, to see mainstream media and local politicians report on the murder of a civilian in broad daylight with actual accuracy, and then to have the top leaders of the federal government spew an utter fabrication over and over again in a desperate attempt to justify it, even though they sound insane (and on some level, deep down in the depths of their empty selves, must know they sound insane … right?) and even though shooting an unarmed person in the face point-blank, even if they are in the middle of committing a crime (though that doesn’t appear to have been the case), very clearly has no justification whatsoever.
