There are so many white men to be angry at right now...

…but near the top of my list at this moment are the absolutely empty-headed tech bros who want to use AI to optimize creative thought and eliminate the human element of art, which a) is the antithesis of the point of creating art, b) is impossible to do without stealing existing work from actual creative thinkers, and c) — the cherry on the fucking top — is ruining the planet in the process, and while there may be noble uses for AI, you cannot tell me that the white men behind these products aren’t just jealous little babies who can’t fathom what it’s like to enjoy and be good at constructing worlds with your mind, examining human nature through story, and finding the exact right combination of words to make a piece sing, so it may be naive, but right now, it really feels like an act of rebellion, of resistance, to create and consume art with your whole heart, to buy and read and worship it, to spend time scribbling and typing and outlining and thinking and creating for the sake of it, which is beautiful and pure and human and something these numbskulls could not duplicate if their sad, uninspired lives depended on it.
