…and it was Animal Crossing during the early days of the pandemic, but I just learned about and started playing my second (perhaps an omen we should all heed), Tiny Bookshop, where you own and operate a traveling trailer of a bookshop, set up each day in a small town or beachy locale, and sell real-life books (Stephen King! Shakespeare! The Boxcar Children!) to the people who pass by — decorating your shop, buying books to stock your shelves, and providing recommendations to customers along the way — and it is quite delightful, relaxing, and involves exactly the number of stakes I need from my video game (zero), so if you’re looking for a peaceful distraction, I highly recommend.
