Every year, I bring too many apples home from the orchard...
…and every year, I google new and different apple recipes, and every year, none of them sound good enough or require the right amount of effort (very little) or use up enough apples, and every year I reluctantly end up making an apple crisp, and every year, I regret my reluctance because it turns out perfectly warm, gooey, buttery, crunchy, cinnamon-y, caramelized, satisfying, and delicious, so this year, I am embracing the apple crisp from the very start, revelling in the tried and true, soaking up the sugars of the familiar, baking my way home.
